The Big South_TM Athletic Conference approved the University of North Carolina Asheville as the host for the 2^nd Big South_TM Undergraduate Research Symposium (Big SURS), to be held March 27-28, 2009. 

The Big South_TM Athletic Conference plans to host regional undergraduate research symposia with their athletic conference membership when the National Conference on Undergraduate Research^© (NCUR^©) site requires air travel.

Coastal Carolina University hosted the 1^st Big South_TM Undergraduate Research Symposium (Big SURS) in 2007 when NCUR^© was held at Dominican University in California. 

The University of North Carolina Asheville is now pleased to host the 2^nd Big SURS this spring when NCUR^© will be held at University of Wisconsin LaCrosse.
