Mission Statement

The UNC Asheville Bookstore serves the academic and personal needs to the University. Its primary emphasis is academic, providing support for reading and study assignments. The Bookstore also supports the academic mission by providing necessary school supplies and required classroom materials. The personal, non-academic needs are filled by offering goods and services required by a variety of people comprising the UNC Asheville community.

The purpose of the UNC Asheville Bookstore is to provide for the sale of books, supplies, and educational requirements associated with the academic programs at the University and for the sale of other supplies and services deemed necessary. As an auxiliary service, the Director of Auxiliary Services oversees the UNC Asheville Bookstore, Rocky's Convenience Store and the Campus OneCard.

The UNC Asheville Bookstore is operated on sound business principles promulgated by the National Association of College Stores, the UNC Office of the President, and the State of North Carolina. The Bookstore's income must cover current operating expenses and generate sufficient surplus to create a repair and replacement reserve. Any excess revenue will be used to provide student scholarships. By North Carolina law, the Bookstore cannot use state money to defray operating expenses.

Our store hours are:
Monday through Thursday, 8 am until 6 pm
Friday, 8 am until 4:30 pm
Saturday, 10 am until 2 pm
 Closed Sunday
