UNC Asheville Daily Textbook Buyback Program
The
daily textbook buyback program at UNC Asheville was implemented as an additional
opportunity for students to sell back unwanted textbooks and avoid having to
wait until the end of the semester. The following information is a brief
overview of the daily buyback program.
- Students may sell textbooks Monday –
Friday during bookstore hours. Picture ID is required for all persons
wishing to sell books.
- Textbooks on the Guaranteed Book
Buyback program will be purchased at half of the purchase price. All other
books, if on the wholesaler list, will be purchased at the current wholesale
price. There will be some titles that are not wanted (out-of-print, old
editions) and therefore will not be purchased during the daily buy or the
end-of-semester buy.
- Books being purchased through the daily
program are NOT being bought for the current semester. Once adoptions are
received from the departments for the following semester, the bookstore will
begin purchasing those titles at half of the purchase price.
- Students have the option to hold on to
books they think may be used for the next semester.
- The daily buyback program will NOT take
the place of the end-of-semester buy.
