Recent Awards
- April 2009: Megan Miller has been awarded a national Fulbright Scholarship for her graduate study at Oxford University--congratulations, Megan!
- February 2009: Megan Miller, a senior Classics major, has received a place at Oxford University in England to study for an M.Phil. in Classics this coming autumn. Generally, Oxford directs overseas students from US universities to the less challenging Master of Studies degree which precedes the M.Phil., so this is really an exceptional achievement. Megan also learned in January that she is the recipient of the 2009-10 Lionel Pearson Fellowship awarded by the American Philological Association to an undergraduate in Classics for a year's study at any UK university. Megan is the first UNC-Asheville student to win this award. More...
