issues, and school reform.
The Association for Supervision and Curriculum
Development (ASCD)

World Association for Online Education
A newly formed organization that addresses issues involving the creation
and use of online educational resources. You can also access their
journal for online education.
The International Education
and Resource Network (i*EARN)
i*EARN is on organization that helps educators to connect young people
to undertake projects designed to make a meaningful contribution to the
health and welfare of the planet and its people. Joining this organization
allows you and your students to join other classes interested in a variety
of planetary and environmental projects.
SouthEastern Regional Vision for Education
(SERVE)
SERVE is a consortium of educational efforts to improve teaching and
learning for all students in the South Eastern states. SERVE provides
opportunity for educators to create a shared vision of improving education
through research and application. You can find many good ideas and
projects associated with this organizations efforts.
The Center for Education Reform (CER)
This organization is a national, non-profit education advocacy group.
CER provides resources, support, and
guidance for school reform to communities across the United States.
You can find information on school choice, charter schools, tuition tax
credits, curriculum standards, accountability, and other issues facing
our educational institutions as well as the latest research studies on
these issues.
Association for Better Living and Education
(ABLE)
ABLE is an international association dedicated to ridding the world
of its most devastating social ills - drugs, crime, illiteracy and immorality.
ABLE achieves its goals through several non-profit organizations which
make use of the social betterment technologies of author and humanitarian,
L. Ron Hubbard. These organizations are: Narconon, Criminon, Applied Scholastics,
and The Way to Happiness Foundation.
Society for Photographic Education
(SPE)
SPE is a non-profit organization that provides a forum for the discussion
of photography and related media as a means of creative expression and
cultural insight. Through its interdisciplinary programs, services and
publications, the Society seeks to promote a broader understanding of the
medium in all its forms, and to foster the development of its practice,
teaching, scholarship and criticism.
The Association
for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC)
AEJMC is an international association of more than 3,300 journalism/mass
communication faculty, students, administrators, and professionals. AEJMC's
members come from more than 28 countries, with the majority working in
the United States and Canada. Founded in 1912, AEJMC is the oldest and
largest association of journalism and mass communication educators and
administrators at the college level.
Just Think Foundation
This organization exists to stimulate critical thinking about popular
media. Just Think strives to equip young people with the literacy tools
critical for their future.
National Foundation for the Improvement
of Education (NFIE)
NFIE was created in 1969 by the National Education Association.
NFIE provides grants and technical assistance to teachers, education support
personnel, and higher education faculty and staff to improve student learning
in the nation's public schools.
National Middle School Association (NMSA)
Established in 1973, National Middle School Association (NMSA) serves
as a voice for professionals, parents, and others interested in the educational
and developmental needs of young adolescents (youth 10-15 years of age).
NMSA is the only national educational association exclusively devoted to
improving the educational experiences of young adolescents.
