Recording, Electronic Music, Jazz Studies, Instrumental and Vocal Performance
The UNCA Music Technology Program has received a state-of-the-art Solid State Logic SSL AWS 900+ recording console, which will be ready for use by student engineers in the fall. The SSL AWS 900+ is a professional analog recording and mixing console which doubles as a digital control surface for our ProTools HD systems.
The Robert Moog Electronic Music Laboratory will begin operation in the fall. In addition to classic Moog analog gear, the Laboratory also includes a full array of digital synthesis and composition software.

The UNCA Department of Music provides many performance opportunities for all UNCA students, including music majors, minors and non-majors. Performance ensembles include Symphony, Flute Choir, String Quartet, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Jazz Combos, Chorus, Jazz Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble.
