In December, UNCA's new Bob Moog Electronic Music Studio was dedicated to Dr. Moog, the late electronic music pioneer and inventor of the Moog Synthesizer. Dr. Moog  was Research Professor of Music at UNCA. - read more.

The UNCA Department of Music provides many performance opportunities for all UNCA students, including music majors, minors and non-majors. Performance ensembles include Symphony, Flute Choir, String Quartet, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Jazz Combos, Chorus, Jazz Choir, Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble.
