August 26, Wednesday 12:45 ~ Free Noontime Concert ~ Billy Jonas, Songwriter & Industrial Re-Percussionist
A Billy Jonas performance is an explosion of energy. His primary instrument is the audience but many of his original pieces are played on fanciful "industrial re-percussion" instruments made from found objects. http://www.unca.edu/news/releases/2009/jonas.html. Lipinsky Auditorium

Through the use of gongs, conch shells & animal horns, listeners experience a unique place of sound that can be healing in its effect. The alpha and theta patterns that his music brings about are patterns associated with immune system functioning and long-term meditation. Lipinsky Auditorium
