Aimee Sullivan
Saxophones, Clarinet

Aimee Sullivan has resided in Asheville, North Carolina since the fall of
2002. She is currently on the faculty of UNCA, Asheville and TC Robinson High
Schools, the Asheville Music School, and Asheville Middle School, where she
teaches woodwinds. She performs with many jazz groups in Western North
Carolina, including performances with Pavel Wlosok, Eliot Wadopian, Byron
Hedgepeth, Bill Gerhardt, Mike Holstein, Derel Monteith, Sam Macy, Stuart
Reinhardt, Jane Hart, Ron Brendle, Chris Garges, and Sharon LaMotte. She has
appeared on the Jazz Composers Forum in Asheville on numerous concerts and the
wonderful sounds of her soprano sax have been heard on WCQS when they aired
the special Jazz Composers Forum concert recorded live last January 2003 at
the Left Bank restaurant in Asheville.

Before settling in Asheville, Aimee was a freelance musician and teacher in
Seattle, Washington, composing and performing with such groups as Billie
Tipton Memorial Saxophone Quartet, BOLT, and the Zimbabwean group Amanzi. She
received her undergraduate music degree in saxophone performance at the
University of Oregon (1995) and a Master of Music degree, Woodwind Specialist,
from East Carolina University (2001).
